    • One Spring day in the middle of a very serious business meeting we were interrupted by the chatter of a bird called the Tui. It’s quite a talker, never stopping its conversation (like a neighbour who’s hard to get away from) – and in the middle of this clatter of conversation it clucked, whistled and shrieked  and greedily sucked the best nectar from a tree called the Kowhai. The Kowhai has beautiful yellow long flowers, perfect earrings draped on lacey branches! Now that’s like a feast of the best and the worst kind. Nevertheless, it made us laugh and we thought let’s make a perfume to celebrate this love between the Tui and the Kowhai tree.
